Degrees Get You In. What You Do Next Defines You.

For those who are truly serious about their education – it doesn’t matter which IIM gives what weightage to which selection criteria.

Because after you crack the admission interview, the same cycle continues -you’ll ask your seniors for past years’ question papers to crack internal exams.

Then you’ll ask which clubs and societies are most popular to optimize your resume and maximize your placement package.

And then when you enter the real world, you realise that there were lakhs who were living with same ‘crack the next hurdle’ mentality, so now you’re just another face among millions in the job market.

Man, do something that builds real substance in you.

So many people secure impressive placement packages after a 30-minute interview, only to discover later that their dream placement has turned into a nightmare.

While you’re still in college, pursue entrepreneurial projects. Take up leadership roles in co-curricular activities. Study real-world case studies with your friends. Build a personal brand. And lest I forget – read biographies to gain insights into lives that pushed boundaries.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Life isn’t about quick fixes to crack hurdles. It’s about what endures in the long run.
