If you’re in your early 20s, consider shifting your path by just a few degrees.
Life comes with a default path – school, college, work experience, higher education, job. It’s predictable and well-trodden.
Now if you add reading non-fiction books to your routine, then you’re shifting the path by a few degrees.
If you pick up a skill like writing, graphic design, or video editing – you’re again moving the path by a few degrees.
Maybe start creating content to build a personal brand – that’s again moving the needle in a different direction.
But why only few degree? Because you’re not expected to read or work on that skill for 5 hours a day. Instead, you can only spend 30 minutes everyday for the next 5 years.
Those few degrees’ shift in the present will create a massive difference between the new path and the default path 5 years later.
The game has never been about intensity. Instead, only make small changes and be consistent over the years.
Your future self will thank you for it.
